The high-Tech Industry in Zhejiang Province has Developed Rapidly.

Recently, the statistics was announced on the main indicators of science and technology development in this province the first half of the year. The data shows that technological innovation is becoming a new engine of the economic and social development in Zhejiang.

 

In the first half of this year, the high-tech industry developed rapidly in this province. From January to June, the high-tech industry achieved an added value of 339.338 billion yuan in Zhejiang, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. The growth rate was 2.3% higher than that of the standard-sized industry, and it contributed 61.2% to the industrial growth. The output value of the new high-tech industry products was 806.571 billion yuan in this province, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, and the growth rate was 0.37% higher than that of the standard-sized industry.

 

The high-tech park has developed rapidly and the agglomeration effect has been continuously enhanced. From January to June, the high-tech parks achieved an industrial added value of 212.807 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%, contributing 41.2% to the provincial industrial added value growth. The added value of the high-tech industries in this province’s high-tech parks reached 149.482 billion yuan, accounting for 44.1% of the province’s high-tech industries.

 

The high-tech industrial parks have developed quickly and achieved new results. From January to June, the total number of patent applications was 221,375 in this province, an increase of 37.15% over the same period of last year, including 70,214 applications for invention patent, an year-on-year increase of 86.4%. The total number of patents granted in the province was 147,859, a year-on-year increase of 45.48%.

 

Investment in R&D has been increasing. From January to May, the high-tech enterprises invested a total of 57.978 billion yuan in research funding, a year-on-year increase of 8.52%.

 

In addition, from January to June, 3,602 scientific and technological small and medium-sized enterprises had been newly approved and identified, accounting for 60% of the annual target; a total value of the technology transaction contracts amounted to 28.112 billion yuan, taking up 59.43% of the annual target.
