2018-04-18 09:48:48

On April 13th, the reporter learned from the Provincial Agricultural Office that the "Three-Step" Implementation Plan for the Classification and Treatment of Rural Domestic Waste in Zhejiang Province (hereinafter referred to as the "plan") has been officially issued. Revolving around the target of 2022—villages to be generally covered by the classified collection and treatment of rural household wastes and “zero growth” to be realized in the total amount of domestic garbage, this document formulates the phased goals and implementation plans of the “three steps” in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
The "Plan" proposes that the province will take five years to make every effort to tackle the problem and basically establish an operating system of "classified throw-away, classified collection, classified transportation, classified disposal" for rural household garbage, so that the classification process will achieve remarkable results, and the rural residents will basically develop the classification habits. The appearance of the villages has been comprehensively improved, the ecologically livable environment has been continuously improved, and the production and living environments in rural areas have taken a new look. By the end of 2022, the province's rural household waste classification will basically reach full coverage; a total of 1,200 provincial-level high-standard living garbage classification and demonstration villages will be built; the province's rural household waste recycling rate will reach more than 60% and its resource utilization rate will reach 100%.
