The revitalization of rural areas cannot be achieved without the revitalization of rural culture. The rural cultural auditorium is a spiritual resort for the farmers and a new front for cultivating and promoting the socialist core values. The reporter learned from the Public Opinion Research Center of the Provincial Party School that in conjunction with the Zhejiang Online Public Opinion Center, this physical center has jointly released the 2017 White Paper on the Index of the National Influence and Word of Mouth of the Zhejiang Rural Cultural Auditoriums.
According to the data report, at present, 7,916 cultural auditoriums have been built in the province; nearly 80 percent of Zhejiang netizens praised the development of the cultural auditoriums in our province; the cultural auditoriums in Hangzhou, Wenzhou and Jiaxing were the most concerned by the public opinions; Zhejiang ranked first in the comparison of the popularity of the integrated cultural service items at the grassroots level in the major provinces across China.
Since the official launch of the construction of the cultural auditoriums in rural areas in 2013, the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government have always attached great importance to the construction of rural cultural auditoriums. In the past six years, the construction of rural cultural auditoriums has been successively included in ten projects for the improvement of people’s livelihood. The White Paper focuses on the needs and highlights of Zhejiang's rural culture, the attention to and recognition of the rural cultural auditoriums in Zhejiang from other provinces, as well as the institutional and grassroots organizational changes brought about by the changes in rural culture.
By the end of 2017, 7,916 rural cultural auditoriums have been established across the province. It is predicted that by 2020, the province will have built a total of 10,000 rural cultural auditoriums covering 80% of the rural population. In the whole country, the grassroots comprehensive cultural service centers such as the Rural Cultural auditoriums in Zhejiang, the Rural Stages in Gansu, the Village-level Public Service Centers in Guangxi, and the Farmers’ Cultural Entertainment Park in Anhui feature rational layouts, functional supports, linkage between supply and demand, and distinctive characteristics. The horizontal comparison of the cultural resorts in these four regions indicates that the rate of popularity of the cultural auditoriums in our province ranks the first, with 96.82%.
