Zhejiang Released the Country’s First Provincial Security Index, Making the Data Expressive and the People Satisfied

On October 24th, the Press Conference on the Index for Secure Zhejiang was held in Hangzhou, releasing the security index of 11 prefecture cities and 89 counties (cities, districts) in the province in September. This is the first time to release the safety index at the provincial level across the country.

In the Index for Secure Zhejiang released in September, Shaoxing City ranked first in the district and city with an index of 95.88, and Jingning She Autonomous County ranked first in the counties (cities, districts) with an index of 98.22. Subsequently, the Index for Secure Zhejiang will be released publicly around the 15th of each month.

The “index” is an important tool for quantitative assessment in some areas at home and abroad. The the Security Index is an effective way to promote the innovation of social governance in the era of big data. Constructing a set of reasonable safety index is of great significance to for the high-quality construction of Secure Zhejiang and the creation of a demonstration zone for Secure China.

The security index will dynamically monitor the security in various places, reflecting the various-field, large-scale and multi-facet security of all aspects of economic, political, cultural, social and ecological civilization. The model of the Index for Secure Zhejiang is designed according to the concept of “Great Security”, which includes eight dimensions: social and political security, economic and financial security, social order security, work safety, ecological and environmental security, food and drug safety, network and information security and public emergencies.
