A Total of 57.429 Million Tourists to Zhejiang During the National Day Holiday

The reporter learned from the Tourism Bureau of Zhejiang Province that during the National Day Holiday this year, a total of 57.429 million tourists visited this province, representing an increase of 10.3% year-on-year, and that the income from tourism reached 56.55 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2% year-on-year. It was also learned that the 187 4A scenic spots under the supervision of the provincial monitoring platform for the tourism industry had received a total of 20.252 million people during the National Day.

 

Tourism towns, tourism resorts, tourism complexes, and special tourism products have become the new highlights of this holiday. The 2018 Ningbo Nice International Carnival introduced authentically from Nice, France, created a record of many large-scale outdoor events held in Ningbo for several days, attracting 150,000 visitors; Hangzhou launched night tour products on the Qiantang River, which enabled tourists not only to watch the light show on both sides of the Qianjiang Riverbe on the cruise, but also to appreciate the landmarks such as the Olympic Sports Center, the International Exposition Center, and the City Balcony. During this National Day, Qianjiang New City received a total of 53,200 tourists.

 

After the global tourism entered the “village” era, many villages in Zhejiang have been enriching the tourism products and perfecting the facilities on the scenic spots, thus attracting tourists from all corners of China to experience the fun of picking fruits and vegetables, eating farmhouse meals, and doing farm work in the A-level scenic villages. The Taoyun Scenic Area in Jinxi, Kaihua, has greatly improved the environment of the scenic spot through the construction of tourism projects and the upgrading of supporting facilities, receiving nearly 30,000 tourists during this National Day; Shangtian Township in Fenghua, Ningbo, launched the “Fun Farming Festival in the Golden Autumn Harvest Season” which incorporates games, handicraft, food, pastoral scenery, net celebrity rice field restaurants and other elements, attracting nearly 5,000 tourists to drive here for parent-child tour.

 

Attention has been diverted from star-rated hotels to the popular new forms of accommodation such as theme hotels, specialty homes, and caravan camps. The high-end “foreign agritainment” represented by the Luoxin Valley, the Luoxin Fort, the French Mountain Residence, etc in Deqing had been fully booked more than a month before the National Day; the “Shanghai Village” in Changxing attracted tourists from the Yangtze River Delta with its complete facilities, preferential prices and family-type service, receiving a total of 146,400 tourists, an increase of 10.46% year-on-year, during the National Day Holiday; villages such as Huanggongtun, Fangjiatun, Huaqiang, Meihuazhou and other rural tourist scenic spots, experienced a booming hotel booking.
