Central Environmental Protection Supervision Group Hands over 30th Batch of Petition Letters to Zhejiang

At 9 a.m. on September 10, the 2nd Central Environmental Protection Supervision Group handed over the 30th batch of 273 petition letters to Zhejiang, of which 3 are defined as key ones by the group.
According to the classification of pollution types, the 30th batch of 273 petition letters is divided as follows: 105 on water, 91 on air, 19 on noise, 13 on oilsmoke, 7 on ecology, 9 on dust, 6 on garbage, 2 on soil, 1 on heavy metal and 20 on other pollutants. In terms of regional distribution, 54 petition letters are for Hangzhou, 35 for Ningbo (including 1 key letter), 20 for Wenzhou, 10 for Huzhou, 15 for Jiaxing (including 1 key letter), 52 for Shaoxing, 32 for Jinhua (including 1 key letter), 12 for Quzhou, 1 for Zhoushan, 27 for Taizhou, and 15 for Lishui.
As of 4 p.m. on September 10, 30 batches of 6281 petition letters have been turned over to local governments and provincial departments, of which 187 are repeated ones. 4788 letters have been reported handled. 5920 units have been urged to rectify the problems, and 3280 units have been punished legally with a fine of 178.3434 million yuan. 94 cases have been filed for investigation, 67 people have been under administrative detention and 62 under criminal detention. Besides, 679 people and 5 units have received admonishment interviews, and 273 people and 28 units have been held accountable, including 1 department leader, 66 cadres of section-level, and 206 people below section-level.
