Zhejiang Advances Smart Healthcare Service

Recently, the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University optimized its medical circuit, getting a lot of likes from the patients. The hospital lobby which could hold two thousand people is no longer crowded, for 260 self-service registration machines reduce pressure for manual service windows. In addition, though the daily maximum number of emergency cases reaches 19 thousand, the patient can make an appointment with doctors right to the very minute, and registration and payment can be achieved  right away.
Based on the construction of information platform, the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University makes “medical data work more and patients walk less”. In 2016 among the 4.19 million emergency cases, 71.37% were outpatients. Moreover, pre-storing medical expense, signing in at doctors’ office visiting, fee settlement and other related procedures excluding seeking medical advice, above 50% of them can be completed within five minutes.
In the province “hospital on the fingertip” is becoming a tendency. Reporters learnt from Zhejiang Commission of Public Health and Family Planning that, in recent years, the province has built a “governmental domination, social participation, provincial unification” public welfare clinical reservation service platform. Up to December of 2016, over 260 hospitals have been inserted into Zhejiang clinical reservation service platform, more than 6.6 million people registered with their real names, over 20.4046 million appointments were made successfully, and the success rate of appointment was over 70.83%. At present, 42% of the province provides smart healthcare service through Health Service APP or WeChat official accounts, effectively alleviating the difficulty in seeing a doctor for ordinary people.
