Residents in Zhejiang Have More Money in Their Wallets

The two figures RMB 22,163 and 8.7%, unveiled recently, have a close relation to wealth of each Zhejiang resident. Data released by Zhejiang investigation team of National Bureau of Statistics(NBS) showed that up to the first half of 2017, the per capita disposable income of Zhejiang residents is RMB22,163, with a year-on-year nominal growth of 8.7%, and an increase of 0.2% compared to the first quarter of this year.
Figures are abstract, but they tell exciting and colorful income stories of Zhejiang residents. Probing into these stories, we can find the trace of new look and moves of economy and development in Zhejiang.
As far as speed is concerned, Zhejiang has drawn up a beautiful curve showing stabilized growth rate of per capita disposable income of Zhejiang residents, namely from 8.7% of the first half of last year, to 8.5% of the first quarter of this year and to 8.7% of the first half of this year. Residents are more confident in the future for the rapid growth of their income. A survey made by Zhejiang Statistical Bureau on consumer confidence index( CCI ) in Zhejiang showed that CCI was 119.7 of the second quarter this year, up 1.2 compared to the first. CCI is still in the “optimistic” zone, increasing for 5 consecutive quarters, reaching the peak since 2013.
