Reporters recently learned from Zhejiang Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce that during the first half of the year, the number of digital certificates that legal persons held in Zhejiang crossed the one million mark and reached 1.03 million, ranking the third in the country.
Zhejiang has canceled the fees for legal person digital certificate services since this year, which leads to a significant increase of applicantions. Over 950,000 corporate units have successfully applied for the digital certificates, accounting for 61% of the registered enterprise legal persons (individual businesses excluded) in the province, 19% higher than that of the end of last year. Among them there are 8,421 new enterprises that applied for the certificates while getting registered, accounting for 5% of the total newly-established businesses. This has provided a new way for issuing at the same time the digital version of the “one unified business license for integrated multiple certifications”.
Meanwhile, the first half of this year sees an explosive growth in the number of the newly issued licenses and certifications. Over 400,000 legal person digital certificates have been issued in Zhejiang, equaling eight times the number of 2016, and the total amount of the past ten years as well.
The number of the active certificate holders has also increased. During the first half of this year, about 460,000 digital certificates for legal persons in Zhejiang have been updated, and about 870,000 enterprises have used them in handling e-government services. In addition, the service for online signature has been available for over a month and applied by over 400,000 enterprises.
