2017-12-29 09:28:54

On December 27, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education held a press conference and officially issued the Implementation Opinions of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education on Further Advancing Senior High School Enrollment System Reform (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions), which means the reform will bring about changes in academic proficiency test, comprehensive quality assessment, enrollment measures, and examination and admission management.

According to the Opinions, in the future, all of the grade nine students have to take part in the senior high school entrance examination, and there will be no more recommended students or guaranteed students. “The number of students distributed to high quality demonstration middle schools”, which is taken by recommended students according to the old system, will continue to be given, and for those to be admitted to senior high schools in 2018, the distribution ratio will rise from 50% now to at least 60%.
