Zhejiang Government Holds Special Meeting on Further Development

On December 12, Zhejiang Provincial Government held a special meeting on the action plan for advancing the fostering and development of new motivation and the preparation of the action plan for forging the “One Belt and One Road” (OBOR) strategic junctions. Yuan Jiajun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province, presided the meeting and made remarks.
As part of the agenda, officials from Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission reported the development and preparation of the two action plans and those who were present at the meeting discussed heatedly to gain deeper insights into the two action plans.  
Yuan stressed that the OBOR played a key role in all-facet opening-up course. We should closely follow the requests, which were proposed in reports of the 19th CPC National Congress, of constructing a fresh setup of full opening-up and working hard to breed new advantages on international economic cooperation and competition. We should make the action plan of turning Zhejiang into a strategic pivot of OBOR from a high level and with high quality, be deeply involved in constructing OBOR by being properly oriented, staying focused and highlighting unique features, so as to come up with major development goals which are prospective and of strategic significance. We need foster Zhejiang to be a strong province in opening up, and explore actively a new pattern, new channel and new mechanism for international cooperation. Through cross-border electronic commerce, we can see a transformation of global business and try to create the highland of opening up in the new era.
In addition, Yuan remarked that we must follow the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration to do a better job in opening up, improve the efficiency and quality of service so as to create a codified market which is international and convenient to all. We need enhance our ability to utilize resources in both foreign and domestic markets, attracting talents from home and abroad to breed new edges on international economic cooperation and competition.
