Haiyan County Museum


 This is a local synthetic museum prepared to construct in 1977, and independently organized in 1984.The collection includes more than 4,000 pieces of culture relics. Among them, nearly 1,100 pieces are above the third state-grade. The collection features a great deal of china wares, especially the precious relics of Liangzhu Culture unearthed recently. Besides, the glaze pottery article group of the Three Dynasties and navy copper seal of South Song Dynasty are of unique characteristics. The museum construct is some 3,000 square meters, including a 700-square-meter relics bursary. The total acreage for exhibitions is 800 square meters, divided into two basic halls and two temporary halls. The basic halls display Haiyan historic culture relics and Ni Xiang Hall folk industrial arts.

  There are three relics protection institutes attaches to Haiyan county museum, Thousand-Buddha Hall and Yunyou Temple. Haiyan county museum also functions in relics research & protection around county, and instructs other cultural organs' operations. These organs under instruction including a national key culture relics protection unit, 11 county-grade culture relics protection unit and more than 20 relics protection spot.
