General Yue Fei Memorial


    Sited in the northwest of King Yue Temple, it was rebuilt on the basis of Qizhong Ancestral Temple, and officially opened on September 25th, 1984. The memorial occupies 670 square meters, comprising three exhibition halls and seven other parts, depicting Yue Fei's rough life with abundant practicalities, photographs, tables, calligraphies and paintings.

    The first exhibition hall is divided into three divisions, introducing the history of Yue Fei's boyhood, the Anti-Jing campaigns, foundation of Yue Troops and route map of Yue Fei's four north strikes.

    The second hall depicts Yue's loyal determination and devotion for the country. On the contrary, the display unveiled misdeeds of Qing Kuai and Emperor Song Gaozong.

    The third hall concludes Yue Fei's historical position and the great influence on China with a great deal of photos and articles. Introductions about the activities recalling Yue's stories in Tanyin of Henan Province, Zhuxian Township, Xin County, Wuhou Booth of Wuchan City and Yilan Yue's Temple in Taiwan Province are also available.

    Besides, the memorial lays out stone tomb figures practicalities of Song Dynasty unearthed in March, 1979, and a bronze bell from Japan.
